Business Development Director (Europe)

The Role

We are looking for an excellent communicator to be tasked with the further growth of the Trialbee brand in Europe and certain Global Accounts. The individual selected will be responsible for the full sales cycles from prospecting to close. An ideal candidate will be one who has excellent interpersonal skills, a “hunter” mentality and the ability to effectively articulate complex eClinical solutions to a diverse range of stakeholders. 

The selected candidate will be a core member of the Trialbee team, being the face of the business in their allocated region – working diligently to elevate brand positioning in the market. 

This is a fully remote position, and we want the person to be based in Europe. You will be reporting to the VP, Sales Europe. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and deploy strategic account plans for all target accounts that delineate goals and growth strategies for each relationship
  • Represent the product, needs of the customer base and marketplace to the appropriate line organisations, and to work closely with marketing and product development to ensure tight alignment for the business roadmap.  
  • Presenting opportunities for evaluation that could expand the company’s market and product reach 
  • Learn and understand Trialbee software products, pricing and differentiators. 
  • Remain current on industry and speciality topics as needed to perform duties at the highest possible level. 
  • Provide administrative duties necessary to conduct role such as file maintenance, e-records and CRM tools. 
  • Identify target opportunities, customers. Provide market feedback, attend relevant conferences and events. 
  • Provide weekly status reports and forecast updates using relevant computerized or paper-based systems as required by Trialbee orders of best practice. 

Skills & Experience 

  • 5+ year of high level sales experience with a track record selling high-value software or consulting solutions. 
  • Ability to navigate complex situations in global companies with strategic planning and execution. 
  • Established connections across the Life Science industry necessary. 
  • Experience in creating positive meeting opportunities with strong value to a diverse number of shareholders  
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, and ability to articulate primary issues around the clinical trial arena. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, coupled with an understanding of organizational dynamics and politics. 
  • Self-motivated and enterprising with flexibility to work across functional boundaries as required. 
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages seen as a major plus
  • Experience in scientific research preferred.
  • Experience with start-up or smaller companies seen as desirable.

Education 

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in science or statistics related fields
